Introduction

We are located in the parish of Ottery St Mary in East Devon, UK.

The Society is a charity founded in 1999 which promotes the wider knowledge and understanding of our local history and culture. We run 10 meetings a year where specialists address members on topics of varied interest. We publish a journal and, less frequently, books on the history of the locality. We also undertake archaeological field work in the parish and arrange outings to places further afield.
